Bringing to animation a Bachelor of Science degree (Gama Filho University, Rio
de Janeiro, Brazil) and a post graduate Biomechanics degree (Lenin Institute of
Physical Culture Moscow, Russia), Marcelo Cermak has evolved an entirely
unique style in the world of visual effects.

After completing courses in animation at the School of Visual Arts and New
York University, his technical knowledge allowed him to create new
possiblities in the world of TV commercial, documentary and medical animation.

In the documentary sphere he has developed animation, effects and graphic
design for Discovery-Times, Nova, Channel 4 (UK), PBS, The Discovey Channel,
A&E, among others. He has also worked in some of the best advertising and
animation facilities in New York City.

Software mastered includes Maya, After Effects, Real Flow - as well as
Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, etc.  Also a working knowledge of Avid.

Marcelo is a proficient Maya generalist, After Effects composer and Techinical director of Liquid simulations in Real Flow with Phyton scripting capabilities.

Knowledge of foreign languages includes English,  Portuguese and Spanish,
Russian (conversational) and a basic knowledge of Japanese.
